I opened a saving account for my daughter in 2006/2007 in Standard Bank Old Mutual Pinelands branch and deposited some birthday and Xmas money into her account for about a year.By early 2008 I was not longer working in Pinelands and stopped making deposits for her.
about 18 months ago I took the card issued by Standard bank for her to do a balance enquiry and was told that this account no longer exist. I completed a claim form, with the card and handed it in at the counter. 4-6 months later, I sent and email enquiring about this and was asked to complete the forms again and hand it it which I did.
To date, I have not heard a word from Standard bank despite a number of emails going back and forth about this.
There should be roughly about R700 in this account excluding interest and I would like this money paid back to my child please. The information is sitting with the ledger staff at Helderberg.
