Long story short, I applied for a home loan from another finance house & being rejected on the basis that Standard Bank made ITC submissions that I have defaulted on my credit card in the last 3 months, whereas that was not true.
While it's understandable that mistakes do happen, I find it weird that when I called their call centre, they could (verbally) confirm that my account is in order & that I haven't defaulted in the last 3 months. But now, I can't get them to send me a letter confirming that, as it's the only thing that's standing in my way of getting that home loan. I couldn't get anyone from the telephone helpdesk to the branch who is authorised to send me such confirmation lette
