We have household (inside and outside) insurance with Stannic for over 20 years. First claim was in 2009, geyser was replaced. Now 4 years and with only our second within 20 years they refuse to pay out. The same geyser they replaced in 2009 is now leaking. We sent in a claim about 2 weeks ago for this issue and kept on being told that they cannot pay out as the geyser is under warranty and we need to go back to the plumber who did the installation and get him to fix it. The problem is the guy is nowhere to be found. We contacted Stannic and told them what now, the guy and his business doesn't exist anymore but no they are not interested, they just kept on saying we must go back to the guy... must we go back to a ghost! We have now, out of anger, sent in a letter cancelling our policy with Stannic but still i feel it is so unfair and just plain as what happened to all our premiums of over the years. Person we spoke to at Stannic is Bongani.
