I bought a new vehicle on 25 October and financed it through Stannic - I have previously financed two vehicles through them with no problem. Contract was signed and first instalment due to come off on 25th November - no - at 07h00 on 3 Nov, my cell phone beeped 12 times, the first instalment came off and they attempted to take another 11. Found out contract loaded with incorrect start date in 2012 - got this sorted out (I thought) and the monies refunded. Went to draw money from the ATM on the 13 Nov and found that Stannic had taken a further amount of R8 500 on the 11 November. Phoned immediately to the Customer Care Centre - got a reference number - no one can tell me why the money was taken and when I am getting it back - they promised to refund it on 15 Nov and didn't - spent the whole day on the phone today - no one comes back to me and I keep having to repeat the story - had to borrow money over the weekend to get out of overdraft - today's my birthday - thanks a lot Stannic - you big time. All I want is my money back - you took it off quick enough but can't tell me why and when I am getting it back
