First National Bank
Forex: "lost" my money

I have been using FNB Forex since October 2012, and they have gone through successfully.

I transferred funds into FNB from HSBC UAE on 1 March 2013 to cover all debit orders going off my FNB account.
HSBC has confirmed that the funds have left their account and has been sent through to First Rand Bank (FNB) but to date these funds have not cleared by FNB, not only that, FNB cannot find it!

I have called through almost every day since 5 March and the only feedback I have received is the it is not reflecting. No offer to assist, or to try and resolve this. There has been no contact to HSBC Dubai, nothing to confirm the transfer.
I provided all documents requested MT103, SWIFT doc etc and STILL NOTHING. Just the same feedback, nothing reflecting, or "I'm sorry we cannot trace it".

So now, my debit orders have gone off, I don't have funds to cover it, and FNB gets to charge me for not having enough funds. So now, thanks to FNB "not locating my funds" I have a bad credit history. Yay, thanks FNB.

What are my rights in this matter? Can I take this to the ombudsman to have my money returned to me by FNB, as clearly this bank does not know where customers funds are.
