DELAY IN POLICY PAYMENT

MY SON IN LAW TOOK OUT A LIFE POLICY WITH OLD MUTUAL IN 2003. ON 10 JAN 2013 DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER. ON 24 JANUARY THE NECESSARY COMPLETED MEDICAL FORMS WERE SUBMITTED TO THEIR OFFICES. ON 7 FEB HIS WIFE WENT INTO THEIR REGIONAL OFFICES IN KLERKSDORP TO ENQUIRE AS TO THE PROGRESS OF THE CLAIM. SHE WAS TOLD THAT THEY NOW REQUIRE MEDICAL RECORDS FROM AUGUST 2009. THE QUESTION ARISES, WHEN POLICY WAS TAKEN OUT, MEDICAL TESTS WERE DONE, DID IT SHOW HE HAD CANCER THEN, NO! THE POINT IS, HE NO LONGER GETS A FULL SALARY, HIS MEDICAL COSTS ARE WAY OUT, HIS FAMILY DOES NOT HAVE A LOT OF MEDICAL BENEFITS THEY TRY TO KEEP THEIR EXPENSES DOWN SO THAT HE CAN GET THE NECCESSARY MEDICINES. HE HAS FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS TO MEET HE WANTS TO BUY THINGS FOR HIS CHILDREN BUT HE IS BEING FINANCIALLY RESTRAINED. HE HAS HIS PRIDE AND DOES NOT WANT TO BE DEPENDANT ON FRIENDS AND FAMILY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. WHO IS, AND WHY IS THIS DELAYING TAKING PLACE. ITS A CASE OF LETS WRITE THE POLICY, I GET THE COMMISSION AND THEN???
