I want to bring forth my complaint to the public because the public need to know and i cannot believe the response i got from ABSA IDIRECT Insurance. I want to move from Discovery Insure to ABSA IDIRECT. Meaning - ABSA will gain another client and get money from that client! I am currently a loyal customer with ABSA, have platinum accounts, bonds, etc. After talking to a consultant and sending through the long list of items i want to insure, i get the following response "Unfortunately we can't assist due to all the claims". When i questioned what claims are they referring to, Maurizio answered, you have more than 3 claims. Therefore as per the law we cannot accept that. WHAT??? That is why we are insured in the first place! So why be insured at all then? Why bank with ABSA at all? Amazing how ABSA can afford to loose clients like this. That goes for Discovery Insure as well. A total shame.
