I submitted my claim to Old Mutual branch in Rustenburg on the 21 September 2012. 5 months later I am still submitting additional documents that wasnt requested earlier. I believe I provided Old Mutual with all the relevant documents needed to process my claim, medical reports, termination letter, sick notes and I even answered the mining questionnaire they sent me.
I was employed as an underground geologist. Instead of processing my claim they demand all this irrelevant work documents. I took the cover independly and it has nothing to do with my former employer. Their latest demand is written proof from my former employer with the exact date I started performing underground duties; all my underground time logs which the company doesnt keep record of; confirmation that employer disability claim was approved which is irrevant.
I took a disability cover with Old Mutual, I am unable to perform my underground duties due to the accident. I was dismissed from work, i have no income and family to take care of. What more do they want from me to process my claim?
