I have received a renewal notification from iwyze. according to the letter, they will be increasing my premiums from R976 to R2 025 per month and adding an additional excess of R2 500 over and above the basic excess of R2 750. they say the increase is due to the fact that i claimed last year for a loss of R11 200 when a taxi driver hit my car. i do not understand how that could justify the108% increase in my premiums. i called the call centre and spoke to two unhelpful agents who told me they cant help me and one even said that i should call them to cancel the insurance as soon as i find something better, when i told her that i am shopping around for better premiums.
