My money market account had about 30 rand in it. I know its high amount savings account and it was not doing much for the last year. Over the last 2 months or so I see that Nedbank started charging new bank fees on it and the account went into arrears after the R30 got used up. I questioned this as this is a savings account and I never agreed to a line of credit on the account. If I left this over the next year would this have just piled up to an insane amount? Surly this is against NCR regulation as I said it's a savings account. Any way Ask once said they would phone me back with an answer that never happened I paid the arrears amount and closed the account today. Its little things like this makes one move all your business. They are quick to contact you for more products like insurance though.
