At the beginning of February (8th) I phoned to ask why my contribution had gone up as I had had no major claims and had had no hail damage to my car (this was used as a general excuse for why contributions had gone up). After much questioning and back and forth with the consultant it was subsequently noted that my vehicle value had INCREASED from 2012 to 2013, hence my contributions going up!? As it was, I calculated the increase to be in the region of 3%, a pretty decent return on a supposedly depreciating asset?! The consultant (Candice) was at a loss for words and subsequently put me onto her supervisor (not sure of the name) who confirmed with me that this was indeed an error on their part (check the telephone recordings). The supervisor then assured me that this would be sorted out and they would get back to me with a revised contribution amount. I have since phoned Auto and General numerous times since then and given the same story that this is indeed and error and it will be rectified and they would get back to me with feedback. I HAVE RECEIVED NO SUCH FEEDBACK and have since been debited with the increased contribution for March 2013! This is unacceptable service!
