Yesterday I was shocked when my monthly contribution was deducted and it was so much more that what I have budget for. When I phoned Medihelp the consultant told me that they used my annual salary to calculate my new contribution even though they did receive my proof of payment in October 2013. If you check on their website it stipulated there that your monthly contribution will be calculated according to and I quote "gross monthly income." Who the gave them permission to calculate my contribution according to my annual salary? When I told them I want to cancel my medical as from immediate effect I was told that they will still deduct a premium at the end of the month. I do not want anything to do with Medical aid. You pay through your ears a month but when you need the medical aid they do not pay at all. Because of Medihelp I'm in debt this month and they can say what they want they my money.
