Failure to provide decent information

I contacted African Bank collections on the 28th of November 2012 to find out why they still had a negative listing on ITC for me despite settling with the attorney's that they had appointed in 2010. I was informed that I still had a credit card that had an outstanding amount due. I requested the settlement value and payment terms and after being told I could pay R 5000 a month for 3 months for a bill of R 10623, I decided to settle the full amount. The amount was paid over on the same day, however a recent ITC check showed that they still had me listed. I phoned on the 19th of February 2013 and was told that the actual setllement figure was R 10940 and that is why I am still listed, I was told that they would see if the difference could be written off due to incorrect information being given to me. I phoned today to be told that they will not write it off and now I need to pay R 678 to clear the account - the original credit card limit was R 2000!
