Our home in Jhb was broken into one month ago to the day. The house is currently occupied by tenants and we have had to pay for a security company to protect the property because the doors, locks and fence that was broken by the burglars has not been repaired! In the first place, it would seem that the assessor that was allocated to this case did not do the assessment and we were then told that they had asked a contractor to do the assessment (is this standard practice??). Then, even though it was quite evident that the doors and locks and fence was broken, the 'contractor' did not see fit to report the urgency of the matter and it was only after repeated calls that somebody was send to temporarily fix the locks. We were told several times that the claim has been approved but still the repairs are not done. The contractors that were meant to finish the job called me on Thursday, 21 Feb to say that they needed to go to the house to do measurements so that they could prepare a quotation (this is over 3weeks after the break in. I really think this is incompetence at its worst!!! Thoroughly disappointed with Mi-Way!!
