I am disgusted with SA Warranties. I took out a policy about 2 years ago, i took a prestige package with a step up cover to ensure my vehicle was covered sufficiently. All my payments were made and i remained claim free until about 3 weeks ago. Firstly i have no idea why it takes 3 weeks to process a claim and secondly the documentation they were requiring from me in terms of my service history was beyond ridiculous. I claimed for a rear wheel bearing that needed to be replaced on my car and SA Warranties pay out a final figure of only R1533.06? I queried this figure with them stating that i am covered for at least R4k on the prestige package alone never mind the step up cover. After countless phone calls with various consultants i am still waiting for an answer as to why the they pay out a pathetic insulting amount of only R1533.06. I then called to cancel the policy with immidiate effect and they say to me the cancellation will only take effect after 30 days meaning they will still debit me one more time despite me cancelling. Their claim process is a joke, they pass the buck and dont cover your full amount due to you. DO NOT TAKE COVER WITH THEM. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE
