I recently tried making online payments (with sufficient credit) with my credit card.
Upon request of my billing address, my info I entered was kicked back as incorrect.
This was not just one site or vendor, but at least 6 as I tried different products from different vendors.
I called Investec and after hundreds of rands of phone calls and numerous emails between myself and my private banker, I was just left and not assisted. I communicated the fact that I was in Vietnam and desperately needed to change my flight back to SA, which I couldn't do as my billing address was kicked back as "incorrect".
Besides the thousands of rands I lost due to having to travel to the airport and change my flight (which is all I wanted to do) and being days later hence the price jumping each day, it is just not the reputation that Investec pertrays and promises to deliver to clients.
