Am i not a big enough customer to mean something?

I transferred money out of my acc, R10 000-00 for vehicle repairs while i was on holiday, the turn around time should be 24-48 hours from Standard Bank to Absa? This money was available to the person within an hour. Well i realised that my vehicle was not going to be fixed and I phoned Standard Bank to reverse the transfers for me. Their response was it will cost me R250-00 per transfer (R750-00), and it will take 21 working days for an answer. I went to the police in the meantime seeing that i could not get hold of the person who was supposed to fix my vehilce and they told me i need to go to my BANK and they should open a case against the person from their department agains him. ABSA bank should then transfer the money back to my acc, and then ABSA should get the money back from their customer. Well Standard Bank feels nothing for their small time customers? They just came back to me and told me nothing could be done? I am a single mother with 2 children and have no transport and no money - seeing that i just lost R10 000-00. And according to Standard Bank there is nothing they can do for me?
