Death of Personal Banking

If I could find a bank that does not have a cll centre I would move all my accounts there. Standard Bank is making it impossible to contact a bank directly so it is only possible to talk to your business or personal banker by going through the call centre. The call centre does not have any options to speak to a real person about anything that may not quite fit into their pre programmed items. One has to listen to the whole speel before selecting an option which might not quite fit what one needs to discuss. I have banked with Standard since 1990 and their service gets more impersonal and unhelpful as time goes on. I want to speak to a senior manager about this but cannot get to anybody who actually makes decisions. This is pointless because I do not wnat to shout at minions I want to shout at the at the top. My Business Banker is a nice person who tries hard but she does not make decisions so when I complain she can do nothing about it except apologise. This is not my only complaint against the bank. I would very much like Jaco Maree or somebody at his level to call me to discuss the problem.
