I have a student loan which I have settled twice in past few months. I am then phoned by FNB collections afterwards and told that my account is in arrears. The left hand clearly does not know what the right hand is doing here since I paid the full settlement amount as quoted by FNB. I am also charged almost a R100 per month life cover premiums on my outstanding balance on my R50, 000 loan (which has been zero for two months since the amount has been paid). I sincerely hope my credit record is not affected by the bank's poor operations.
