A few years ago I opened a credit card at FNB, which I kept as a backup and never used. The account charges started adding up, so I decided to pay up the account and close it telephonicaly.
A few months later I received a notification that my credit card is in arrears.
I phoned them and straightened out the situation, assured that everything was fine and wrapped up.
This year I was contacted by MBD attorneys with non working phone instructions as to how to access mysterious information that they have on me. Later I received an SMS claiming to have a new document available to me - of course with a non-working link.
Now that I need to move at the end of the month, as my Land lady is moving back to Johannesburg I find that a tracer alert has been put on my credit record, and as such I am unable to rent from anyone that includes a credit check in their selection process.
FNB legal department is not taking calls at all and I am left in the lurch as to what to do!
