First National Bank
No ownership

I have been banking with the bank for YEARS and been struggling to get my account upgraded to a cheque account since last year October after being at the bank 3 times with different things told to me what is needed. FINALLY got it right on Saturday, apparently a risk indicator that was not changed. I then ask for a R500 overdraft and declined as the risk indicator is not switched, I was told it will be escalated and they will phone, still waiting for the phone call. Since Monday been on the phone withTaryn at customer care (She was actually very good and efficient), then Zanele and Mandy at overdraft and Ntsumeng at limits and overdrafts, not one of them could assist and just kept on transferring me around to other people. Taryn told me that the risk indicator was put to 0 on 19 December last year, but yet FNB tells me I have an adverse credit rating. Told them I spoke to Trans Union and one of the Debt review centre supervisors, according to them, everything is fine and no flags on my profile. The funny thing is nobody is helping and they are just passing the buck, I have in this week secured a R150 000 car loan through another bank, but FNB will not even approve R500 overdraught
