Moneystar
Please avoid Moneystar at all costs

I took a R3000 loan from moneystar with a repayment plan over a period of three months (February 2012). During this time I changed banks as well. Every month I received an sms thanking me for my payment. Six months later I received a phone call from them stating that only one payment was made, and the rest was still outstanding. They explained that the sms notices had been send to me accidentally, and I had to make payment immediately, for my account had been handed over for collection! At this stage I was retrenched from my work, and unable to make payment, for I received only a UIF payment. I explained it to them, and the end of that month they deducted an amount of R1300 from my new account without my permission!!! I immediately reversed the debit order, for I needed to buy food for my family! I was appointed during December 2012 in a new position, and wanted to start making payments end January 2013- BIG was my surprise when I saw that my account was now R6233.47 in arrears! Excluding my one instalment of R1300! Stay away from these vultures, they prey on people in need!!! Extremely unprofessional service from call centre agents, who seem to be on some kind of power trip!
