I submitted a claim for hail damages round about 27/10/2012
An assessor made an apointment to come out and view the damages a few weeks later we climed on the roof and counted the damaged tiles there were some places that needed replacement tiles immediately as the complete tile was cracked and this would cause water damages to my ceilings he then told me to replace these tiles with tiles on my overhang for the time being, he stood and whatched me while I had to replace them myself. He told me he would get back to me and I am still wiating.
A biulding contractor also came to qouted damages to the tiles, gutters and the gate he made a qoute and told me he would submit it to the Bank, nothing came from that.
I understood that there was a huge backlog and I then asked if they can pay me out for the damages, they were more than willing to do so and the consultant told me they would be paying me an amount of - R1700 - my ecxess of R750 = R950 I told the consultant that wanted to see the qoute they had with a breakdown of what they can fix for R1700 she never got back to me.
