In October 2012 I was one of the unfortunate people to get hit by hail and had to put in a claim for both my car and my house. This was my 1st claim with Discovery & from the beginning of the process it has been a nightmare to deal with them. I have never received such a run around from any insurance company previously.
Wrt my household claim I was told at the beg of Dec to sort it out myself & that an amount would be paid into my account. When following this up in Jan I was told that the amount as incorrect & they would be paying less than half of this bearing in mind I have already had work done. I have emailed looking for a response / help but to no avail. Asked Bianca who has given me the conflicting stories to get her manager to call me - 5 days later and I'm still waiting. Service is absolutely disgusting. Had the same situation with my vehicle claim.
