Standard Bank Saswitch atm not dispensing cash
I withdrew money from a Standard Bank saswitch machine in Vanderbijlpark and it didn't dispense the money. The screen froze up on the 'take your cash' display for about 5min, it sounded like it was rolling out the money, then it froze up again and after another 5min the screen whent back to 'please insert your card'...... No money and no slip..... I got the sms stating that a withdrawal was made, so I phoned the saswitch call center and they said that it sometimes does that, and that the money shoud be reversed anything between 1 - 24 hours. I immediately phone my bank (Capitec) and they said that they will capture the query and launch an investigation, and that I will hear back from them in +/- 14 to 30 days..... What the hell!!!??? What am I suppose to do while I wait for that long for them to investigate a faulty machine??? I have bills to pay and will be charged interest on overdue amounts... This is poor service and a massive inconvenience.
