ABSA fails to act against

On the 29th of January 2014 i received an email from alleged attorneys Brooks Luyt Inc, allegedly situated at 57 Hillcrest Avenue, Oerdr park, Blairgowrie Randburg.

The email stated that i must pay amount of R2495.00 immediately as my ABSA credit card payments are overdue. I approached the The Zone Rosebank branch of absa, as i do not bank with absa but standard bnk and have never had a credit card before.

i showed the lady the email and she took my id no to check if i was listed on the system but i was not and even the account number was not on the system.

It is clear that people are using ABSA's name to commit, but when i requested to take this matter to their division, the lady assisting me said i should approach the attorneys myself potentially putting me in a dangerous situation.

Absa is clearly failing their customers and being negligent in their duty to protect thier customers from .the first time i received an email of this nature it was from attorneys in CPT and when i called i was immediately informed tht my file was closed when i queried this acc but now i decided to follow up on it. It is clear the is a doing the rounds.
