I went to the bank to open an account, picked my number and waited at the queue for my turn. the lady at the door had checked if i had all the required docs with me. i went to a consultant she looks at my proof of address and said i am not sure if we can help you because you do not have a local address she went to her manager and comeback with her and she advises that they can not open an account for me because i stay in Pretoria. i asked her how is that possible because i previously opened an account at Johannesburg while residing in Pretoria she said well it is the bank rules.. I then called Capitec head office and advised them on what had happened they said that is not true the system or the bank has no limitations like that, went back inside with the phone and the manager was no longer available and the consultant who had assisted me dropped the call... i was utterly disgusted at the service they provided me with, which proved that they are incompetent and should still be under administration from the head office.
