Absa Home Insurance - Horrible Service

I lodged a claim for a burst geyser 23/12/2013. Claim number 2509876 handled by Mpho. After calling Absa Home Insurance back multiple times as no one had contacted me I was advised that Absa uses 24Fix country wide who had no plumbers available on the day to assist with the burst geyser. I then requested if I could get my own plumber and if Absa Home Insurance would pay the plumber. I informed them I was not in the mood to fish R8000 out of my bank when they should have plumbers available. They agreed to pay the Drain Surgeon (Who I had arranged and were at my house in less than 20min) if I faxed the invoice and letter stating why I was not happy with the service to Mellisa (Fax 0867422018) as per Dumelang's instructions. I assumed that everything was fine and I even called back on the 27/12/2013 to check if the account was paid. I spoke to Alan who advised that everything was fine. I received a call from the Drain Surgeon to advise that the account had not been settled on the 25/01/2014. I then phoned Absa Home Insurance again but Mpho was not available, spoke to Linda, sent the invoice again on 27/01/2014 and 24Fix came to inspect. No feedback or payment yet hence the complaint.
