On the 03rd December I applied for funding via nsfas. I then sent all supporting documents on the 17th December 2013 . When calling the call centre they were unable to advise if documents were received and informed me to wait for a sms to say if it was approved or not - in the interim I registered at Unisa for my modules. A month later after calling I was told that my application is in processing and will receive outcome on the 24th January I spoke to lee Anne petersen team leader at nsfas and she informed me that my request has been escalated and I will receive outcome by the 24th January 2014, the date then changed to the 31st January and I was later informed that unisa would extend payment dates as they know there is a delay at nsfas its now the 05th February 2014, 1st semester has started already assignments are due and I have not received feedback from nsfas after 2 months - my application says awaiting funding its in the final stages however no sms was received and was told yesterday to wait till end FEB
