I applied for the NSFAS Student funding in April 2013. UNISA did not give me any feedback on my Student funding application. In May I spoke to a gentleman by the name of Fanyana whom advised me that my documents have been in the process of being captured. He advised me to re-register all my modules that I wanted to study since it needed to be registered within the registration period. Thereafter I received no SMS or any communication with UNISA. I then called in mid June and spoke to Dineo whom advised that they have not sent out any SMS to students as they were still busy with applications. For the past 2 weeks I have battled to get hold of NSFAS staff. I sent an email to Fanyana and a lady called me to say that they are extending registration due to so many applicants applying for NSFAS, but there is not notice placed on their website that registration will be extended. I need to know whether I have been approved of funding or not as 2nd registration will close on Friday 12-07-13. please can you help me with this situation all resources have been exhausted and I cannot get hold of UNISA at all since they NEVER answer their phones or the emails that I have sent them.
