I have never had to hang on so long for a call center and then be passed from one person to another as much as I have for the registration of a homeowners claim with ABSA Insurance. It started with a long wait on Friday following flood damage to my house. No response. Eventually, I decided to send an e mail to claims. No response on that either. On Monday there was further damage and I called again on Monday morning at 10am. Again a long wait for an answer. Get through to claims. I tell them my problem. They now tell mer that I am speaking to the wrong person and they put me through to registrations. Eventually there is an answer. Get the claim registered. I ask if hotel accommodation is covered. They cannot answer me and I must speak to claims. Get through eventually to claims. They tell me that that I am covered. So I ask what does it cover. They cannot tell me I must speak to someone else. After a long wait I speak to someone else and they say I should speak to another person. At this stage I am very angry and express my anger. I am then placed on hold with that terrible music. I am extremely frustrated. This is not a staff problem but a management problem.
