I'm very disappointed, because there were so many people handling this matter in such a short space of time and they made promises that have not been kept. A garnish order was not intended to be processed when this matter was first brought to light.
I was told that if the debit order did not process on the first payment date then I was free to make a payment on the last day of January 2013 via EFT in order for my records of payment to be up to date and everything to be in order. I have kept to this initial agreement and made a payment on the 31st of January 2013, I also updated all my banking details with Desere to ensure that everything is on track and there are no problems in future debit orders. Desere assured me that the garnish would not be processed and now her superior Mr Pretorius changes his mind, this is not right.
I believe all consultations should have been made with with her superior before making promises to me.
I do not need my name tarnished at my employer. I need to be given a second chance due to bad communication on their part.
