Nedbank captured my surname incorrectly

Two weeks ago I applied for a Nedbank Cheque account. It was approved and my account was processed. Today a courier arrived with my card, but sadly it had only the last part of my double barrel surname on it and he was unable to give me the card. I have proof of the application and what I submitted, and it clearly states that I submitted my entire surname. Someone messed this up in a big way. I subsequently phoned Nedbank only to be told I need to go in to a branch to correct it. I want to know why it's my problem to correct? Did I capture it incorrectly? No. Why must I run around like this? I'm the one switching to Nedbank. I was promised a card today and I cancelled my accounts at Standard Bank, now due to some wildly incompetent staff member I have no bank account? Do I wait another 2 weeks?

My decision to move to Nedbank was purely based on my desire to avoid incompetence such as this. I want a bank with a brain who hires smart people and doesn't waste my time. I have a job, that's why I need a bank. Why do I need to take time away from my job to service Nedbank's incompetence? Is a double barrel surname at all rare in South Africa?
