Great Bank Lousy SMS Policy

FNB, I never get sms's from you, today I get one

"FNB Housing Finance welcomes you to 2014 ... (blah blah fish cakes) and then at the end... in anticipation of your January 2014 bond payment with a telephone number to call 087 736 6000".

I immediately called the number and the poor call centre lady on the other end got the brunt of my reaction to that SMS. She told me that my bond account was totally up-to-date. Why on earth are you sending these pointless irritating infuriating sms's. Please do not send me another unsolicited SMS, especially about my bond. You do not want me to come into a bank and cause a scene, and I will. Over a year ago I requested that FNB cancel all sms's that were being sent to me. This you did. And then - hey presto - today. What I now want to know is who gave the authority/permission for the sms's to start up again, and then then cherry on top - not even accurate information, but complete rubbish like what I received this morning. Sort it out please.
