First National Bank
Reserved Funds

I have been calling FNB consultants for the past week when I was in P.E, and it seems there are a lot of incompetent people working for FNB.
When I was in P.E I went to a restaurant and I was double charged, meaning the funds were reserved twice. I spoke to the manager immediately afterwards and he assured me that they will only take one, and it will be up to FNB to reallocate the funds. And a few days later they only took one payment.
Now my cash is stuck in reserve "mode" and I'm being told by another FNB consultant (in authorisations department) that I have to speak to the merchant to give authorisation to release my money. For starters I'm in Joburg, and the merchant is in P.E and I don't know how the am I supposed to do that, worse I don't have slips anymore and it is not reflecting in my accounting for me to even fax the merchant and prove that he double charged me.
I'm disappointed that even though they see that I was double charged, and the merchant only took one a few days later, they still want me to go to the merchant and ask for permission to release my money.
