My family can't grieve thanks to Standard Bank

As if dealing with my father's passing was not difficult enough, Standard Bank has made sure that my family and I continue to relive the experience and struggle at every turn. We have had numerous issues from my dad's funeral policy to personal loan even closing his bank account. As a Standard Bank customer myself I wonder should I trust Standard Bank to move my life forward (as the slogan and ads suggest) through personal loans, home loans, funeral policies etc. I wonder if all the insurance premiums we pay are just making some fat cat fatter while we struggle to get what is due to us and what Standard Bank promise to customers.

Their agents are rude, incompetent and cold. I have spent several hours and countless Rand on the phone and travelling to branches trying to get the same issues resolved. It's a pity Hello Peter has limited characters! Thank you to Standard Bank for making me realise that I should not invest in a bank who does not have my back when I need them the most, when I am going through the most difficult period in life.
I guess your slogan should be Standard Bank there through good time but not bad times! As you are not helping us move forward!
