I phoned FNB Private Clients on Friday morning at 09:00 10-01-2014 and spoke to my consultant. I wanted to send some money to my daughter and grand children in New Zealand. He advised me that I have to get clearance from SARS which is strange as I had previously sent a even larger amount to her about 18 months ago which was done without any problems. He then informed me that he would phone me back within half an hour to advise me who I should contact. I waited until 13:00 with no reply and then went to to SARS myself who required a bank statement. After walking to the Mall I obtained one and completed the forms at SARS. They will advise me in 5 days if I can transfer the money. One expects when you are a Private Client to get a response from the person who handles your account. The last time I requested a reversal for Outsurance debiting my account without permission he also informed me that they don't deal with Outsurance and that I must handle it myself for a refund. As at today I have still not got a call from him. I feel that I should rather move to a bank who cares or be assigned a different consultant as my previous one Claudia Ncube was excellent.
