My car insurance premium (Dec 2013) increased by 20% from previous premium. I did not receive notification as i did for the Plat Club membership. I raised this 'personal' consultant Josh Gregory (who is hardly available when i call & need to speak to him and doesnt respond with a call unless i threaten urgency) during Dec as I had changed my bank, requested to be debited from new acc as the old debit order failed. Josh was meant to come back to me about my increase. To date has not. Filled in a hippo quote on 31/12/2013 to check - Oakhurst came out at R566.15 (have screenshot) compared to R909 increase. Someone called me from Oakhurst at 9:19am on 31/12/2013 from 0113635600, to confirm quote - keeping my excess as is, quoted me approx R640. I explained the unfair increase, lack of response, requested the old policy be cancelled & new quote be accepted as it is day light. She agreed, said she has to speak to my consultant as i wanted R909 returned & they could debit new amount the next day being 1/1/2014. She said she doesnt think possible and new policy can start in Feb. I disagreed and she then agreed to contact Josh to see if possible and call me back. waiting!
