My cash witheld by a Standard bank deposit atm!!

I had to deposit cash urgently and went to an atm at sandton city. Atm # D755 was working properly up to the stage where it asked me to deposit my notes. i put in R1750 cash so it rejected 3 of the 100s and the 50 note (R350) and then closed the slot.then it kept humming. After abt 30 secs it indicated i was to take and fix my folded notes but the slot was closed then another 30 seconds later it said transaction cancelled, Thank you. I lost R1400 and could not make the urgent deposit. I called 0800020600 and spoke to Leonard. He said the error had been picked and we have to go to the bank on Monday, gave me ref #1220554332. It is a great inconvenience on my part as i went with full confidence and trust that these atms are serviced regularly to avoid such, so now i await Monday. It was like daylight! Something should be done about these atms that are disfunctional or otherwise stop employing them. D755 ruined my day and inconvenienced me a great deal!
