I requested a withdrawal on my 32 day call account during the course of November 2013 for payment to made to my Cheque account on 27 December 2013.

When I checked my account on 27 December, no payout was made, when I queried this on Saturday morning 28 December, I was advised that the incorrect amount was requested and therefore no payout was made, I was however advised that the system should have alerted me to the error, the system did not. Investment Banking informed me that I have to take this up with Online Banking, on doing so I was advised that there is no record on the main frame that a withdrawal request was made in November. Investment Banking confirmed that a request was made, yet Online Banking claims no such request was made. Wendy who I addressed the issue with at Investment Banking took this up with the Treasurey Dept, she contacted me this morning to advise that the Treasurey Dept confirmed that payment could be made today but that I would have to pay a penalty fee of R250, 00 ha ha ha ha - what a joke, thisis my savings and my money and they decide simply because of an error on my part as well as their system, that they are entitled to R250, 00 of my savings. :(
