We bought a house from Nedbank's assisted sale program. Photos was on website, we took photos and house was in a good condition. We put in offer to purchase and the ONLY disclosed defects was faulty swimming pool pump. We got the keys last night and the house is in a state. Oven door missing, counter tops burned. Cupbourd doors ripped off. Water pipe damaged so half of our house flooded. Paint pulled of the walls, Front door damaged beyond repair. JUNK in swimming pool and EVERYWHERE even their dogs and illegal garage tenant we never new about!!! We did not buy the house and would not have bought a house in such a state. Nedbank accepted our offer to purchase for the house and did their evaluation as part of the assisted sale program. When we called for help as we did not buy the house in that condition and they facilitated the sale on behalf of the sellers, they just dont care and its just not their problem even though the bond the previous owner had with them still has a debt account with them. Its UNFAIR! We should NOT be liable for all these malicious damages, not what we signed for and have photos to proof it! Transfer took place on 20 Dec and we got keys last night.
