So on the 10th of December I had hail and storm damage to my property. i then tried phoning ABSA home owners Insurance that I took out from ABSA when I purchased my home. Firstly, don't try calling their call center cause no one will answer, I tried phoning the whole day and then eventually I decided to log a claim online as I couldn't get through. The next day I struggled to get through again but finally got hold of one of the agents. I gave her the reference number I got when logging the claim online and according to her there was nothing on the system, so don't try logging a call online as that also doesn't work even though ABSA sends you an sms with the reference number. When I spoke to the lady I explained the nature of the damage and she told me she would mark it as urgent, . Today, the 17th of December not one word from ABSA or a call from them telling me whats going on... nothing! I have also tried calling the call center today but was unable to get through yet again. Brilliant service ABSA I thank you. My advice to anyone out there, don't take out any Insurance from ABSA cause it's the most useless pathetic service you will ever get..I'm moving my home loan and Insurance.
