Mr RC Baker (my father) passed away in February 2013. I Linda Shepherd submitted all required documentation to Old Mutual in May 2013. After not hearing anything for months, I phoned on 09 September to query status of policy only to find out that an Annexure B form was still required from all beneficiaries. (Luckily I phoned!!!) On 12 September 2013 I submitted all additional documents, stamped and signed by commissioner of oaths, and now almost 3 months later after phoning on numerous occasions reference numbers 131950, 142518, 147652, 153558, 160023 and 172362 only to be told that the Board of Trustees have to still meet to decide what must happen. From documentation it is a clear uncomplicated case that should have been settled months ago. No one can tell me when this will happen. Is this Old Mutual's way of delaying payments??
