First National Bank
REPUDIATION OF CLAIM: CLAIM NO CL80631

I lodged a home cover insurance claim to FNB in March 2013 after my house was broken into on the 19th. After three months of struggling to have the calim approved I finally succeeded in June. The physical damages were repaired I signed off the satisfied certicate on the 01st of July 2013. I then perused the policy document to check what other forms of indemnity are available for me. I found that I should be reimbursed for the time that the house was inhabitable for the rent paid for temporary stay or loss of income if the house was rented.

I submitted all the required and supporting documents. The staff at the insurance division of FNB are trying all they can to repudiate the 2nd part of the claim by saying I did not submit certain documents and staff which they know is a blatant lie. I resubmitted nevertheless. Over and above lodging a complaint at Ombud for Short term Insurance they still have not paid my claim. I escalated the matter to FNB HQ hoping they will act intelligently on the matter but it shows that they not only treat me with contempt but the government too.

I really pray that the government establish working state institutions not micky mouses.
