My father in-law had a loan at ABSA. He is a pensioner and has no form of income except the government grant. ABSA hounded him for months about the settlement. Finally my husband asked ABSA to send us an repayment agreement. The firm Brooks & Luyt Inc. then sent us the agreement.
We paid the 3 instalments as stipulated in the agreement. That was paid off on 31 May 2013. All the relevant proofs etc. was sent to the e-mail address provided [Email Removed]
We have been receiving threatening calls on a weekly basis from yet another collections company for this same account. We have sent proof of payment on various occasions, but every time we are told we will see what happens. We went out of our way to settle the account for my father in-law and this is what we get.
