I was charged over R500 by Standard Bank, the explanation I was given was that it was because I withdrew R35 000 from Hillcrest branch without a notice. I accepted that and that is why when I needed to withdraw R 52 500 rands I made sure that I made a notice. A few days after that I notice that the bank had charged me R660-00 service fee. I called the call centre, the lady did confirm that it is a service fee for a withdrawal inside the bank. I told her that I was charged a lot of money before and i was advised to make notice next time, i told her that I did not expect that much of a service fee because I had done the notice. She could not explain any further and offer to transfer my call to Hillcrest branch. I was connected to a lady by the name of Samantha. She asked me many questions including my personal details and we could hear each other ok but when she could not explain why the R660-00 even after noticing the bank, she suddenly said that we have a bad line and she can't hear me.i called again and I got connected to a lady by the name of Katlego. and I asked her to transfer me to Hillcrest branch. She transferred me to a number that did not exist.
