I opened a bank account with FNB as most of my payments I make are to an FNB account. I opened a Smart cheque account, specifying to your agent I need something for internet banking and with access to paypal.
Have had the account since end of October and on Thursday 5 December I got hit with R400? service fees?! On top of it I get charged R7 per payment via internet banking!
I had SPECIFICALLY adviced I need it for internet banking and this is what I get? Also this card is NOT accepted by Paypal, I sent an email via internet banking asking for a call back regarding the R7 per transaction charge (prior to the R400 deduction) no response!
I have banked in 3 countries and in SA I also bank with Standard, I have no hidden charges and the once I had a complaint I was called back within 24 hours. I have no idea what your company etiquette and morals are, or how you train your agents but this is unacceptable, at the time of opening the account it took 2 hours!
Opening with Standard again took what 15-20 minutes?
I am completely disattisfied and furious with your bank, will advice everyone I know against opening with you, I might go to a paper with the detailed story
