I have 3 policies with Clientele life. These 3 Policies amounts to R3000.00 per day that they have to pay out from the 3rd day you are in hospital. I was in hospital 4 nights and they paid out R1172.15 instead of R6000.00? I would like to know how they came to that calculation.
1st of all the don't pay "while" you are in hospital. The pay after you gets out of hospital. In my case I had a neck operation and could not drive. So I had to wait 6 weeks before I could do the whole paper trail.
2nd of all they need a trail of paperwork. That forms must be filled in by Dr and Specialist which charge you for the appointment and they charge you to fill in the forms. Then these forms must be faxed through, so I had to pay post net R100 and the originals must be posted which I have to pay for as well. Never mind the petrol driving up and down to get this done. Roughly it cost me R1220.00 to get this all sorted. So I scored R42.85 at the end of the day? What a joke?
