Hello,

I received a call from a lady named Linda. Linda was an employee of MFC querying the failed debit order of my car finance 26 January 2013.

Linda wished to deduct the 26 January 2013 instalment tomorrow, kindly advised her that unfortunately that would not be possible. Advised her that I do not have the funds and also that the bank that the deductions were actioned on no longer exists. Offered the new banking details, but no, Linda wanted to know how I dare not make arrangements to pay my car instalment.

I have been informed by Linda that my account is less than 12 months and thus no alternate arrangements can be entertained.

I proposed that either my term is extended by one month or the January 2013 instalment is divided into the remaining amounts.

I did not conclude the conversation with Linda as she became too furious and dropped the phone. I've worked in customer services for a very long time, I am yet to witness neither myself nor a colleague drop the phone while in engagement with a client.

I would like that call to be pulled and listened to by 2 people. An English speaker and a Xhosa. Majority of the conversation was in Xhosa.
