A life insurance claim was submitted early November 2012 and has still not been paid out.
Whenever an email for explanation or status update is sent, an automated reply is returned saying a response will be given within 5 working days (which in itself is shocking service).
On 17 January 2013 a response was given that documents have been received and that the claim will be processed within 5 working days from when documents were received. Documents were sent early November, but the claim has not been processed even now on the 30 January!
In one reply on 25 January it was stated that a reply would be given within 48 hours, however no reply has been received yet.
Phoning the call center and claims department is equally unhelpful. The call center is unable to given any information apart from that it is pending - and refuse to give any other reason, explanation or indication as to when this will be processed, and refuse to transfer you to an assessor for a proper explanation or update.
